Fall Oaks
The oak trees in the yard are at full color. Saturated reds, oranges and yellows, each tree has its own shade. Coming home down the driveway, the sun was hitting the leaves and made me stop in my tracks. The layers and depth of the leaves was beautiful and I had my camera. Ha! It was a moment of blazing color and exploding life, like fireworks that don’t fade and I couldn’t help but stare upwards, and look around in awe.
Lacy layers of leaves laughing and lovely…..
I love these moments which shift my vision from my problems to the one who is really in charge, and created our landscape in all its intricacy. Cares fall away, like leaves in autumn and my soul is refreshed. Thank you Lord!
They will be called oaks of righteousness,
a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor.
